USTDA to Highlight Trade & Development Opportunities in Latin American & the Caribbean in April

April 1, 2014

(USTDA) RLINGTON, VA – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will be promoting its programs, as well as potential U.S. export opportunities, in the Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC) region on its social media platforms throughout the month of April.

Since its inception, USTDA has successfully connected U.S. businesses to energy, transportation and telecommunications projects across the LAC region. The Agency will highlight some of these projects, as well as LAC-themed reports, events, business opportunities, photos, facts and figures, throughout April.

USTDA will use #ComercioLAC on Twitter to engage with U.S. businesses currently exporting – or interested in exporting – to LAC countries, as well as LAC stakeholders looking to partner with U.S. businesses or access U.S. government resources for development projects.

The Agency will also highlight its upcoming ConnectMEX: U.S.-Mexico Transport and Telecom Conference on May 28-30 in Mexico City, Mexico. USTDA is partnering with the Government of Mexico, which is expected to invest more than $100 billion to modernize its transportation and telecommunications sectors over the next five years, to host the Conference.

ConnectMEX will bring together U.S. companies and key project sponsors from throughout Mexico to discuss specific project opportunities in the transportation and telecommunications sectors in order to support the country's ambitious reform efforts. ConnectMEX will also help position U.S. companies for success in implementing critical infrastructure projects supporting Mexico's 2013-2018 National Development Plan.
