USTDA Welcomes Seven New Making Global Local Partners to Promote U.S. Exports

August 17, 2016

(USTDA) ARLINGTON, Va. – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency announces that seven new partners have joined its Making Global Local initiative:

“It’s been an incredible summer for Making Global Local! These organizations bring our total to 58 partners working every day to expand export opportunities for their businesses and to create high-paying jobs in 30 states and the District of Colombia,” stated Ashley E. Chang, USTDA’s Director of Public Engagement.

USTDA links U.S. businesses to export opportunities by funding project preparation activities, pilot projects and reverse trade missions while building sustainable infrastructure in emerging economies. The Agency’s combination of targeted assistance and strategic partnerships provide a strong return on American taxpayer investments: For every dollar USTDA programs, an average of $74 in U.S. exports are generated.

Since its launch on World Trade Day in 2012, Making Global Local has grown into the largest domestic outreach campaign in USTDA’s history. Making Global Local connects American companies and communities to USTDA’s export promotion programs by collaborating with state, city and local business development and trade promotion organizations.
